In a move that signals a major shift in its tourism policy, Montenegro has announced visa-free entry for travelers from several countries, as well as new flights for the summer of 2025. The Montenegrin government aims to attract more tourists from Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia by making travel easier, more accessible and more direct.
From March to November 2025, Montenegro will allow tourists from the following countries to enter without a visa:
- Armenia
- Kazakhstan
- Egypt
- Uzbekistan
- UAE Residents (with valid residence permit)
The move is expected to significantly increase tourist flow, especially during the summer season.
To support this influx, several new air routes are being launched:
- Vueling Airlines : Three weekly flights from Barcelona to Tivat, serving Spanish and Western European travellers.
- Gulf Air : Direct flights connecting Bahrain and Athens with Montenegro, providing access to the Middle East and Southern Europe.
These routes aim to reduce travel times and offer affordable options to travellers from emerging markets.
Montenegro positions itself as a leading destination for:
