Many claim that she portrays a once-popular Montenegrin ballerina who committed suicide near the site. But this is nothing more than a beautiful legend.
In fact, the real history of the sculpture has been lost. But this did not affect the popularity of the dancer. All tourists must visit this composition. However, it is not indicated on all detailed maps of Budva with shops and attractions.
Mogren beach
Its uniqueness lies in its location. It is located within the city limits, but is separated from the rest of the resort by a hotel complex. The beach is divided into two parts, connected by a small passage in the rock. The sea in this place is clean, there is practically no wind.
However, the latter factor is not always positive – on hot days, the absence of wind affects the air temperature. It is impossible to stay on the beach for a long time without an umbrella. Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist
This architectural monument rises on the central square and is visible from all points of Budva . The cathedral was built in the 7th century, belongs to the diocese of Kotor . The cathedral acquired its final form only at the beginning of the 20th century. Due to constant conflicts and warriors, it was periodically destroyed, but later restored.
