Rhodes Water Park: location, prices, reviews

Holidays on the Greek island of Rhodes are convenient sandy beaches, historical sights and active entertainment. The latter are diving, hiking in the local mountains, fishing. But for the whole family it is recommended to visit the large water park of Rhodes – Water Park. It is located near the capital of the resort and is one of the largest in Greece.

About infrastructure

The first thing tourists and independent travelers need to know is a convenient location. The water park is located 12 km from the capital of the resort of Rhodes, in the resort town of Faliraki. Its area is 100 thousand m², which made it possible to place a lot of entertainment, water attractions, places for a relaxing holiday. Thrill-seekers can spend time here, sunbathing spots are organized for tourists. There are several large diving pools, special shallow ones for children.

What is recommended to visit in the Water Park during your vacation:

• Hill “Kamikaze”. Its height exceeds 30 meters, and the steep descent makes the visit truly unforgettable. There are three gutters with different angles.
• “Twister”. These are two tunnel descents that partially intersect. They end at a large pool, where vacationers get the maximum speed at the exit.
• Space Ball. This is a complex closed tunnel that leads to a large bowl filled with water. Specificity – after hitting the last vacationer, it twists strongly.
• Bucket. A convenient way to cheer up after sunbathing. Buckets with a capacity of up to 30 liters are periodically filled with water and automatically overturned. Height – 15 meters. A strong flow of water refreshes, gives more strength for further entertainment.
• artificial river. This is a channel, up to 300 meters long, along which you can slowly swim on an inflatable ring or mattress. The depth is small, up to 60 cm.
• Wet bubble. In the center of the attraction there is a hemisphere, which is constantly washed by water. The goal is to get to the top.

In addition to these attractions in the water park of Rhodes, you can visit places for family holidays. Popular ones are Space Ball, Black Hole, Mad Cone. Each ride has an age limit. Most of them allow children over the age of 10.

How to get there

The administration of the water park has provided several free ways to get there for tourists and independent travelers. Two bus routes run daily – from the bus station of Rhodes and from the southern part of the island. The latter runs along the highway along the coast, you can find out about the stops on the official website of the water park in Rhodes. The frequency of following is 30-40 minutes. Routes start from 9:00. The last flight is until 20:00.

But there are other ways to get to the Aqua Water Park on your own:

• By taxi. The cost of the trip depends on the place of landing. The average price for 1 km is 1.5 Euro. This is a convenient option if you are staying at a hotel or inn near the capital.
• On regular buses. They pass along the main highways of the island. They are recommended to drive to Rhodes, and then transfer to a free bus.
• To rent a car. So you can visit the historical and natural attractions of the resort. Rental price – from 25 Euro per day.

In the latter case, a large parking lot has been built next to the water park. Here you can leave your car. This service is free for visitors.

Opening hours, prices

The water park in Rhodes is open from 9:30 to 19:00. However, the last visitors are allowed in from 17:00. For three months a year, the visiting hours change from 9:30 to 18:00. This schedule is valid in May, September and October. It is also possible to close in case of adverse weather conditions. Often this happens during a thunderstorm, when there is a possibility of being struck by lightning.

The cost of an entrance ticket for an adult tourist is 22 Euro. Children from three to 12 years old must pay 15 Euros. Kids are allowed in the Water Park for free. The price includes access to all attractions without time limit, the ability to borrow sun loungers and umbrellas. The rental of additional equipment must be paid separately.
